The Zimmerit's a special paste-like coating that was applied on German tanks from December 1943 till 9 September 1944.
Zimmerit was designed to cover a vehicle's metal hull sides and turret sides so that enemies could not attach magnetic mines to them. (Ironically, Germany was the only country in WWII to use magnetic anti-tank mines in any quantity!) Nonetheless, this textured Zimmerit gave German tanks a distinctive look. Dragon is reproduce a pair of German Tiger I tank with zimmerit. The disparate vehicles' Zimmerit coatings have a different texture and pattern, meaning each is unique yet totally realistic looking. With this 1/35 scale assortment's timely release, now is the perfect time to pick up a new coat.of Zimmerit.
